Occupation Details
During the 1920s he drove the first Scammell lowloader truck in Scotland delivering heating equipment to hotels etc around Scotland. He had to have a man walking in front of the lorry when they went through a village or town. His wife and he also at one time owned a bus and apparently on a Saturday night they would drive the bus to Helensburgh to collect people and take them to the dance halls in Glasgow. No standing was allowed so everyone had to duck when Mary spotted a policeman.

He died in Ruchill Hospital, Glasgow in November 1964 about two years after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
