Male Josiah Tabner

Josiah was born in 1872.  Josiah's father was Frederic Tabner and his mother was Sarah Tabner.  His maternal grandfather was Joseph Tabner and his maternal grandmother is Isabella Jude. He had five brothers named Albert, John, Silas, Arthur and Jacob.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.

General Notes

Birth was registered between July-Sept 1872 in Mildenhall Registration District.
1881  Census shows that he was 7 years of age, born in Worlington, Suffolk and living in Church Road, Worlington, Suffolk.
He left England and emigrated to Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada by signing on as a ship's boy at 14 years of age.  He lived in Annapolis for the rest of his life.
Records at the time of his marrige to Mary E Everett show that his parents were Frederick and Sarah Tabner and that he was born in Wellington but this should read Worlington.  Frederick's occupation was shown as Farmer.  He was shown as living in Granville, Nova Scotia, Canada.
1901 Census for Canada shows that he was born on 17th August 1866 in England, became a naturalised citizen of Canada in 1888 and was living with his wife Mary in Lower Granville, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
1911 Census shows that he was 40 years of age, born in England and living in Lower Granville, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
His death certificate shows that he was born on 13 August 1870.

The two were married today. Mrs. Ellis’ eldest son, aged 56, was unable to attend the wedding.
