He was died on 10th July 1916 whilst serving as a Private, Service Number 19402 in the 8th Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment at the time of the Battle of the Somme.
He is rememebered on Pier and Face 3 A and 3 D of the Thiepval Memorial in France.
Died at the age of 27 on July 10th, 1916.
