Male William Bertie Gooddy

William was born in 1880.  William's father was Elisha Goody and his mother was Emma Smith.  His paternal grandparents were John Goody and Rachel Seward. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Gertrude and Annie.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had nine half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ernest, Herbert, Edwin, Edmund, Arthur, Sidney, Walter, Frank, Edward, Ella and Mabel.

Birth was registered between July-Sept  1880 in Aston Registration District under the surname GOODDY.
1881 Census shows that he was 8 months of age, born in Aston, Warwickshire and living at Mansfield Drive, Birmingham, Warwickshire under the surname GOODDY.
1891 Census shows that he was 10 years of age, born in Birmingham, Warwickshire and living in 50 5 Back Bread Street, Birmingham.

Death Notes

He died during the First World War at the age of 34 whilst serving as a private in the Worcestershire Regiment on 21st October 1914 and his name is shown on Panel 34 of the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres, Belgium. Died at the age of 34 on October 21st, 1914.
