Male Arthur Frederick Goody

Arthur was born in 1885.  Arthur's father was William John Goody and his mother was Emma Cooper.  His paternal grandparents were John Goody and Sarah Ann Anger. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, Herbert, Walter, Thomas, John and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.

General Notes

Birth was registered between Jan-Mar 1885 in Lexden Registration District.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Peter's Church, Birch, Essex on 15th March 1885 by F J R Laurence with the name FREDERICK ARTHUR.
1891 Census shows that he was 6 years of age, born in Birch, Essex and living in Newbridge Road, Layer Breton,  Essex.
1901 Census shows that he was 16 years of age, born in Birch, Essex and living in Cottage on Heath, Layer Breton, Essex under the surname GOODEY.
1911 Census shows that he was 26 years of age, born in Birch, Essex and staying with his uncle and aunt, George and Laura Goody on the night of the census in Great Totham, Essex.  This census shows all their surnames as GOODEY.
Arthur appeared in the 1918 Colchester electoral register for Layer Breton and was living at Cottage on Heath, Layer Breton, Essex.

1901 Census shows that he was a Farm Labourer.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Oct-Dec 1958 in Colchester Registration District. Died at the age of 73 in 1958.

Arthur and Harriet were married on August 30th, 1930.
Marriage was registered between July-Sept 1930 in Shoreditch Registration District.
Parish records show that they were married in St John the Baptist Church, Hoxton, London on 30th August 1930 by John H Ferley.
The witnesses were Thomas William Remington and Albert Percy Dudley.
Arthur was shown as being a bachelor and Harriet was shown as being a spinster.
They were both living at 6 Little John Street, Hoxton, London.
