Betty was born on April 4th, 1942.  Betty's father was Sidney W Goody and her mother was Violet Foster.  Her paternal grandparents were Sidney Goody and Susannah Proud. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Sidney, George, Raymond, Brian, Violet, Rose, Rita and Doreen.  She is the sixth oldest of the nine children.
