Martha was born in 1902. Martha's father was
William John Goody and her mother was
Sarah Hitchin. Her paternal grandparents were
William John Goody and
Emma Cooper. She had a brother and a sister, named
William and
Kate. She was the oldest of the three children.
Birth was registered between July-Sept 1902 in Lexden Registration District.
Parish records show that she was christened in St Peter's Church, Birch, Essex on 24th August 1902 by W H Poland (he was the Rector of Snephall and the officiating minister).

Died at the age of 16 in 1918.
