Mary Ann Elizabeth Goody
Mary was born in 1847. Mary's father was
Thomas Goody and her mother was
Mary Moss. Her paternal grandparents were
James Goody and
Lucy Balls. She had three brothers and two sisters, named
Thomas,
George,
William,
Selina and
Lucy. She was the fifth oldest of the six children.
Parish records show that she was christened in St Mary The Virgin Church, Layer Marney, Essex on 12th October 1847 by Samuel Farman.
1851 Census shows she was 3 years of age, born in Layer Marney, Essex and living at The Cottage, Workhouse Road, Layer Marney, Essex.
1861 Census shows she was born in Layer Marney in 1848.
