Rose was born in 1903. Rose's father was
Arthur Goody and her mother was
Hannah Thirwell. Her paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Martha Bird. She had three brothers and three sisters, named
Albert,
William,
Cecil,
Edith,
Ella and
Nora. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
Birth was registered between Jan-Mar 1903 in Lanchester Registration District.
1911 Census shows that she was 8 years of age, born in Iveston, Co. Durham and living 9 West Street, Leadgate, County Durham.
