Samuel Goody
Samuel was born in 1821. Samuel's father was

Lucy Balls. His paternal grandparents were

Lucy. He was the fourth oldest of the five children.
Parish records show that he was christened privately in St Mary's Church, Layer Breton, Essex on 18th December 1821 by and received into the church in June 1823.
1841 Census shows that he was 15 years of age, born in Essex and living in Birch, Essex. His name was shown as SAMUEL GOODEY in this census.
