William George Goody
William was born on June 24th, 1908. William's father was
Samuel Goody and his mother was
Florence Silk. He had four brothers and three sisters, named
Samuel,
Frederick,
Harry,
Owen,
Florence,
Beatrice and
Nellie. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.
Birth was registered between July-Sept 1908 in Shoreditch Registration District.
1911 Census shows that he was 2 years of age, born in Shoreditch, London and living in 4 Batemans Row,Shoreditch, London.
1939 Register shows that she was living in 56 Loddiges Road, Hackney, London.
Death Notes
He died on 21st May 1940 whilst serving as a Private (Service No 5105196) in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during the Second World War. He is buried in Haillon Churchyard, Hainault, Belgium and his grave can be found in Row B, Grave 2.
Died at the age of 31 on May 21st, 1940.
