June Shirley Tibbs
June was born on May 31st, 1934.
Shirley was born in Brisbane, Australia and grew up in the Promenade, Camp Hill together with her brother and sister. In the 1950s she started work as a dressmaker but knew there was more to life. Shirley and three friends went on a working holiday to New Zealand, which was very brave of her for those times, where she met the love of her life, George Goody. Shirley had to return to Brisbane but still corresponded with George and later they were married in Brisbane and they raised two sons, David and Robert.
Sadly, Shirley passed away on 12th November 2004.

George were married on February 27th, 1960. They had two sons named

Robert.
After George emigrated to New Zealand in 1953 he met his wife, June Tibbs, whilst she (an Australian) was on a working holiday in New Zealand.
They were married in Brisbane, Australia and moved there to be near June's family.
