1851 Census states that she was 25 years of age, born in Limehouse, London and was living in Ocean Street, Stepney, Mile End Old Town, Middlesex.
Parish records at the time of her marriage to Charles Sheldon show that her father's name was John Barnard and that he was a Ship's Caulker.

Ann's first family with George Goody

Ann and George were married on July 7th, 1847.  They had two daughters named Ann and Emeline.
Parish records show that they were married on 7th July 1847 in All Saints Church, East India Dock Road, Poplar, London. Both George and Ann were living in Poplar at the time of their marriage. The witnesses were J Dickinson and Ann Bruce.
George's father is shown as Daniel who was a bricklayer and Ann's father is shown as John who was a caulker.
