Female Rachel Gooddy

Rachel was born in 1849.  Rachel's father was Thomas Goody and her mother was Ann Finch.  Her paternal grandparents were John Goody and Rachel Seward. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Elijah, Thomas, John, Robert, Samuel, Emma, Elizabeth and Ann.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.

1851 Census shows she was 2 years of age, born in Birch, Essex and living in Layer Breton, Essex.
1861 Census shows she was 12 years of age, born in Birch, Essex and living at White House, Layer Breton, Essex.  This census shows her surname as GOODAY.
1881 Census shows she was 31 years of age, born in  Bich, Essex and living in Waddington Road, West Ham, Essex.
1891 Census shows that she was 40 years of age, born in Essex and living in High Street, Ilford, Essex.
1901 Census shows that she was 53 years of age, born in Lower Bretton, Essex and living in South Street, Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire.
1911 Census shows that she was 61 years of age, born in Layer Britton, Essex and living in Bishop Stortford, Essex.

Death was registered between July-Sept 1921 in Maldon Registration District at 71 years of age. Died at the age of 72 in 1921.

Rachel's family with George Bundock

Rachel and George were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 23rd, 1875.  They had two sons named George and Arthur.
Marriage was registered between Oct-Dec 1875 in Wandsworth Registration District under the surname GOODY.
Parish records show that they were married in St Mary Church, Battersea, Surrey on 23rd December 1875 by J H Townsend.
The witnesses were T Maidens and E Bundock.
George was shown as being a bachelor and Rachel was shown as being a spinster,
They were both shown as living at White Hart Cottage, Lombard Road, Battersea, Surrey.
