Alice was born in 1867. Alice's father was
Ishmael Abraham Goody and her mother is
Anna Elizabeth Downs. Her paternal grandparents were
Abraham Goody and
Mary Ann Rowe. She had a sister named
Anna. She was the younger of the two children.

1871 Census shows that she was 3 years of age and living in Sudbury, Bulmer.
1881 Census shows she was 13 years of age, born in Belchamp St Paul, Essex and staying with her grandmother Mary Ann Goody at Cole Green, Belchamp St Paul, Essex together with her sister, Anna Elizabeth.
1891 Census shows that she was 23 years of age, born in Belchamp St Paul, Essex and living in Chapple Road, Ashby St Mary, Norfolk. She is shown as being Annah Elizabeth Smith's stepdaughter but she is in fact her daughter.
1901 Census shows that she was 30 years of age, born in Belchamp St Paul, Essex and living in Rapton Street, Potton, Bedfordshire. She is shown as being the stepdaughter of Isaiah Smith.
1950 National Probate and Wills records show that probate was awarded to Sydney Frank Paul, retired civil servant on 20th November for effects valued at £651 0s 11d.

She died whilst in The Royal sussex County Hospital, Brighton and was shown as residing at 38 Prinsep Road, Hove, Sussex at the time.
