Elsie was born on June 23rd, 1926. Elsie's father was
James Edward Goody and her mother was
Mary Jane Robson. Her paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Martha Bird. She had three brothers and a sister, named

Joyce. She was the second oldest of the five children.
