Male Albert Ernest Goody

Albert was born on April 20th, 1892.  Albert's father was William Goody and his mother was Martha Bird.  His paternal grandparents were James Goody and Ann Richardson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Albert, Arthur, John, James, Cecil, Martha, Julia and Emma.  He was the seventh oldest of the nine children.

Birth was registered between April-June 1892 in Lanchester Registration District and he was born on 20th April 1892.
1901 Census shows that he was 8 years of age, born in Leadgate, County Durham and was living in Iveston, County Durham.
1911 Census shows that he was 18 years of age, born in Leadgate, Co. Durham and living in Lanchester, Co. Durham.
He served in the Northumberland Hussars during the First World War and was wounded during the Charge at Morlancourt, France on 22nd August 1918, also in the charge was his brother, James and he too was wounded.
1939 Register shows that he was living in Rose Neath Villa Real Consett County Durham. His date of birth is shownas 21st April 1892 in the register.

Albert Ernest of Rose Neath Villa Real Consett County Durham died 8 October 1941 at Derwent Colliery Medomsley County Durham Administration Durham 5 March to Lily Ethel Goody widow. Effects £584 3s.

1911 Census shows that he was a Coal Miner, Putter.
Pickman in Medomsley Colliery.
1939 Register shows that he was a Coal Hewer, Underground.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Oct-Dec 1941 in Durham North West Registration District at 49 years of age.
He died due to a roof collapse at Derwent Colliery, near Leadgate, County Durham. Died at the age of 49 on October 8th, 1941.
