James Goody
James was born in 1827. James' father was
Richard Goody and his mother was
Mary Neal. His paternal grandmother was
Sarah Goody. He had two brothers and three sisters, named
William,
Henry,
Eliza,
Frances and
Susan. He was the fifth oldest of the six children.
Parish records show that he was christened on 4th September 1831 on the same day as his sister, Susan and brother, Henry by Thomas Greene.
1841 census shows that he was 14 years of age and living in Ridgewell, Essex.
1851 Census shows that he was 23 years of age, born in Ridgewell, Essex and living in Ridgewell, Essex.
1861 census shows he was aged 34 years of age, born in Ridgewell and living at Mill Road, Ridgewell, Essex.
1871 Census shows that he was 43 years of age and living in Halstead, Hedingham.
1881 Census shows that he was living at Drury Lane Cottage, Ridgewell, Essex.

Death was registered between April-June 1884 in Halstead Registration District.
Parish records show that he was buried on 18th June 1884 at St Laurence Church, Ridgwell, Essex.
