Female Elizabeth Goody

Elizabeth was born in 1833.  Elizabeth's father was William Goody and her mother was Elizabeth Utting.  Her paternal grandparents were William Goody and Elizabeth Church. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William, William, Daniel, Henry, Susannah, Louisa and Mary Ann.  She was the oldest of the eight children.

General Notes

1841 Census shows that she was 7 years of age and living in Halstead, Essex.
1851 Census shows that she was 18 years of age, born in Halstead, Essex and living at 37 Parsons Lane, Halstead, Essex.
1861 Census shows she was born in Halstead, Essex in 1833 and living in North Street, Barking, Essex .  There is no record of her christening under Goody or Goodey in Halstead.

Occupation Details

1851 Census shows that she was a Silk Weaver.
1861 Census shows she was a Dressmaker.

Death Notes

Death certificate shows that she died on 19th November 1895 at 59 Mitcham Road, Croydon, Surrey of pneumonia in the presence of her son J Baxter at 60 years of age. Died at the age of 62 on November 19th, 1895.

Elizabeth's first family with Joseph Ellis

Elizabeth and Joseph were married on November 30th, 1856.
Parish records show that they were married in the Parish Church, Woolwich, Kent by J Roberts, Curate.
They were both shown as being of age and living in Woolwich Road, Kent at the time of their marriage.
The witnesses were Daniel Goodey and Mark Emmerson.

Elizabeth's second family with Henry Baxter

Elizabeth and Henry were married.  They had a son named J.
