William Goody
William was born in 1834. William's father was
William Goody and his mother was
Elizabeth Utting. His paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Elizabeth Church. He had three brothers and four sisters, named

Elizabeth,
Susannah,
Louisa and
Mary Ann. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
Parish records show that he was christened on 14th July 1834 in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex by William Adams.
