Male William Goody

William was born on April 12th, 1778.  William's father was William Goody and his mother was Elizabeth Pepper. He had a sister named Sarah.  He was the younger of the two children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Edward, Samuel, George, James, Ann, Mary and Elizabeth.

General Notes

Parish records show that he was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 21st April 1778.
1841 Census shows that he was 57 years of age and living in the Halstead, Risbridge and Sudbury District.
1851 Census shows that he was 70 years of age, born in Halstead, Essex and living at 138 High Street, Halstead, Essex with his daughter and grandson, Charles.  It also shows that he was a widower.

Death Notes

Death was registered between April-June 1859 in Halstead Registration District at 77 years of age.
Parish records show that he was buried at St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 27th April 1859.  He died of bronchitis whilst living at High Street, Halstead, Essex.
There is a discrepancy of 3 years between the age recorded at the time of his death and the age he would have been based on the date of his christening, this would have made him 81 years of age.
Died at the age of 81 on April 18th, 1859.
