Female Harriett Goody

Harriett was born in 1835.  Harriett's father was Joseph Goody and her mother is Ruth Plum.  Her paternal grandfather was Noah Goody and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Parker. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Charles, James, Caroline, Eliza, Mary and Sarah.  She was the third oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named George, Samuel and Eliza.

Christened in St Margarets Church, Tilbury Juxta Clare on 8th October 1837 by Charles Fisher.  Parish records show she was two years old when christened.
1841 Census shows that she was 6 years of age and living at Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
1851 Census shows that she was 15 years of age, born in Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex and living in Tilbury Hill, Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
1861 Census shows that she was a married woman of 27 years of age, born in Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex and living in Halstead Union Workhouse, North Street, Halstead, Essex.
1871 Census shows that she was 36 years of age, born in Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex and living in Belchamp Road, Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.

Harriett and John were married on May 17th, 1853.  They had five sons and three daughters, named Charles, James, John, Arthur, Herbert, Caroline, Sarah and Emma.
Marriage was registered between April-June 1853 in Halstead Registration District.
Parish records show that they were married on 17th May 1853 in St Margarets Church, Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
The witnesses were William Everett and Sarah Kemp.
John, Harriet, William and Sarah were all illiterate.
