Female Louisa Goody

Louisa was born in 1823.  Louisa's father was Edward Goody and her mother was Grace Parkinson.  Her paternal grandparents were William Goody and Sarah Wicker. She had three brothers and a sister, named George, Edward, George and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the five children.

General Notes

Parish records show that she was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 28th March 1826 by William Adams.  Her father, Edward, was a Husbandman at the time.
Parish records show that she was 27 years of age, her father's name was Edward Goody and that he was a Labourer at the time of her marriage to Samuel Church.  Their surname has been shown as GOODEY in the parish records.

Louisa and Samuel were married on November 18th, 1850.
Marriage was registered between Oct-Dec 1850 in Halstead Registration District under the surname GOODEY.
Parish records show that they were married in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 18th November 1850 by Charles Burney.
The witnesses were Martyn Taylor and  Sarah Taylor.
Samuel, Louisa and Sarah were all illiterate.
