Frederic Goody
Frederic was born in 1820. Frederic's father was
William Goody and his mother was
Elizabeth Church. His paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Elizabeth Pepper. He had five brothers and three sisters, named
William,
Thomas,
Henry,
Henry,
Edward,
Elizabeth,
Susanna and
Emma. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 4th April 1820 by William Adams. The actual date of birth is not recorded in the baptism register. His father, William, was a Bricklayer at the time.
1841 Census shows that he was 20 years of age and living in the Halstead, Risbridge and Sudbury District.
