Henry Goody
Henry was born on April 23rd, 1815. Henry's father was
William Goody and his mother was
Elizabeth Church. His paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Elizabeth Pepper. He had five brothers and three sisters, named

Thomas,
Henry,
Edward,
Frederic,
Elizabeth,
Susanna and
Emma. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 16th April 1816 by John Thomas Nottidge. His father, William, was a Bricklayer at the time.
1861 Census shows that he was born in Halstead and living in Heath Street, Barking, Essex.
He emigrated to the USA in 1864.
